• A: reason i would love to be able to pick specific lots is to incorporate "shorting the
  box" into my strategy. it is a bit more difficult using the fifo rule since my
  current platform does not allow me to pick specific lots. i suppose it would be easier if
  i just opened several other brokerage accounts to solve that problem. more

• A: This is the old Peru Southern Copper (used to be PCU). Good way to play the eventual
  turn-around in the housing market and the strong demand from China. FCX reported good
  copper demand and high price realization (of $3.42 a pound). SCCO caught a JPM upgrade
  too. more

• A: I think it is a buy now... in fact, V is the company I am buying most right now. Visa
  benefits from the ongoing shift to plastic (which I think over time will only get bigger).
  They have no debt, a very strong franchise and strong growth. V is also trading at a
  reasonable valuation. As Charlie Munger likes to say--a great company at a fair price is
  better than a fair company at a great price. I think this is a great company trading at a
  fair price.
  
  Like all investments, of course, it also depends upon your time horizon. V has had a
  strong climb of late, and if you are looking at shorter term investments right now, then
  you might want to wait for a pull back. If you are looking for a company that you could
  buy and hold on to for a long time, then I think V is very attractive at this price.

• A: it'll go low as the summer in which case will be about the right time to look at it
  again....thou we do have a few vehicles burning it but they are also burning it in the
  winter too. more
