Has anyone read the new release of "The Greatest Trades of All Times"? What do
you see as next big trade opportunity? How about a slow crash in bonds:

A: It could be the implosion of the ETF and ETN markets! Dougie Kass and Herb Greenberg
stole
my line "The next financial instruments/weapons of mass destruction"
===================
Can an ETF such as VIG (Vanguard Dividend Appreciation) change the holdings as
they chose?
I'm interested in buying ETFs for the brokerage fees I'd save from buying the
companies individually but I'm worried about the lack of control I have over the
companies in the ETF.
For example, the #1 holding of VIG is currently McDonald (which I like), but
what keeps them from selling that position even if I didn't want to?

brokerage fee's? whatever are you talking about? You can make 5 different trades
for like,,,,less then $25. If thats your sole reason/logic for wanting to buy
ETF's. Than you are in trouble....lol
Some ETF's are just made up out of thin air and dont evem hold what they claim
to.
ETF's are the next, if not one of for sure > Financial weapons of mass
destruction.

Hi, this is a question about options and DITM Jim Cramer stock replacement
method and Ford (F) stock: Ford has more than one analyst projecting price
target of 26; it's around 16 at present; it has an earnings announcement in
January; Cramer mentiones that it could pop to 26 fast (assume that this
because it could beat, etc.); last year it rose in price through Dec to Jan
before earning announcement (not selloff in early January); but it did sell off
after the earnings announcement; the next earnings announcement is in about 1
month and close to options expiration; using the DITM stock replacement
strategy, I'm looking at buying March calls at strike equal to 13; the current
price of that option satisfies the suggested (by Jim Cramer) time value limit;
ANYWAY, (suppose answering own question here) should probably just target
selling it (assuming that it goes up in price to just before earnings, and not
game earnings, and to be on the safe side, buy the March call option vs. a
shorter term one, e.g. January). Agree/Disagree? -

A: just listen to cnbc....they and the rest of the internet gang (several popular sites),
provide many opportunities.....misery loves company, 50% moves with the sector, selling
begets more selling.....all you got to do is look for quality. the market will provide the
manipulation. more - Post your own answer

It seems to me that almost any possible scenario (or outcome) is good for gold
be it G-20, more Quant. easing, central bank competition (R. Paul), rising
middle classes in emerging countries that love gold, ability for Chinese
citizens to now bring gold into the country. All suggest increasing demand for
gold even if world doesn't go to gold standard. Agree/Disagree? Other
thoughts/scenarios? -

re: Gold and market breadth. Where can you see market breadth (for free, public
access) in real time through out the day? What indicators? Also, if market
corrects is it possible for gold miners not to, e.g. whatever reason used to
sell the market would seem good for gold. Agree/disagree? -
