A: I actually just got out of Apple. Just buy puts if you want insurance. Buying Nokia will

Although its slowly losing market share, big cost cuts and ad spending
rebounding translates into a meet or beat earnings going forward. Long term

What causes the variability in natural gas utility earnings if they are not
directly exposed to the price of the commodity?
Specifically the pipeline companies (KGS, OKS..) that gather and store nat gas.
KGS has a near 10% div and earnings increases over the prior year. -

A: Supply and demand. If demand is down, then less is transported or stored. Therefore less

What's your technical analysis of the markets recent action over the last 5
days?
Today and yesterday are trading the same way. Early morning sell off, stabilized
by single sector stories. Yesterday being the Boeing trade carrying aerospace
higher and today Intel and Dell carrying tech higher.
Are we not at the tale end of earnings season, once the earnings drivers
diminish, something has to lead this market other than the "less worse" economic
data. That trade is over. I am starting to turn negative, I think profit taking
about to tick up. -

A: market tried to break out of a consolidation on aug 21. since then though its settled into
a new range which doesnt bode well (at least in theory). so it couldve been a failed
breakout.
big picture, for now it just looks like a primary bull market which means until major
support levels are broken the dips should be bought.
large percentage of stocks above their 50dMA's suggests a pullback or further choppy
