Foote, I don't know if you saw this article but I have always considered Jon
Markman to be quite bearish and this article (toward the end) discusses
agricultural and shipping industries. Hope it helps.

A: Val - thanks. Looking for out of favor sectors/companies - contrarian/value approach. Ag
is a global long term play (China India...). Industrials (not the Dow) could be another
sector going forward I think on say 1 to 2 year time frame. Brazil fund BRF is another
one I bought recently. Not trading time frame, been wrong before, so as usual, will punt
and play defense if needed. more - Post your own answer

Reuters is reporting that Cuba has run out of tissue paper for its 9 million
citizens and can't get any until the end of the year. Which stock would benefit
the most from this dreadful situation? Can you imagine the greeting you'd get
from Cubans if you deplaned with a few dozen packages of Charmin in your arms? -

A: Hey Val, No disrespect to the Cuban people, more a joke about the newspaper content. I am
feeling quite badly for them and hope all will be well for them.
re: HGSI, my game plan is yes, yes, yes, to buy them back. I still have 100 shares but
being a novice and all, I sold 125 shares at around $10 a peice.
I am hoping that Pfizer will eventually buy HGSI. They haven't said that they are going
to do this but hey, it seems like a no-brainer to me...if I had all that cash. So, I
bought some more PFE, which has been dogging me since $26, lol. But I am waiting on a
dip. Though, I am not willing to sell the shares I have already had the run on because
there is always the chance that they will get that magical pop when the Obama
administration pushes it through the FDA and I don't want to be short. I am afraid that I
fell in the camp of "Bulls make money, Pigs make money, and Bears get slaughtered. I
have quite a nasty gash in my tookus from where that Bull gored this Bear. lol.
Here's hoping to a brighten future for all, including the Cuban people!

Good lord, I was just thinking about all of you folks who bought QID and BGZ -
did you get the hell out without much damage. I hope you did because I wouldn't
wish that on anybody. I bought 10 shares of SH and I'm down $66. LOL. Low risk
play. -

A: Drew, I've had SH for weeks. I agree with you though about shorting. I'm sure this
holding's position in the port will be reevaluated before long. As for changing my name,
it was pointed out to me that posting my last name was not a good idea. Thus, it has been
removed. more - Post your own answer

I went through a phase where I hated NLY - it did nothing but trade in the 13s
and 14s forever. I know some others Pickrs here own it and if you care to come
out and discuss your outlook on it I'd be interested in hearing. It just keeps
climbing the upper BB. Went down to 16.25 on a one down day and the market dove
in the next. -

A: Had NLY before, I actually have HOV right now, not wild about the market as you know, but
just really good housing data has been coming out for the last few weeks. Tax Credits and
Firesale prices are working right now. more - Post your own answer
