- Q:
Are there advantages of convertible preferred stock other than they pay out a
divy before paying it to common shares? I bought SGP's preferred and already
own FCX's preferred. Any comments, advice or chat about preferred stock? -

- Q:
Does anyone think that commodities are oversold? I understand panic selling,
but I can't help to think that the recent government intervention is going to
create massive inflation down the road. Does anyone here invest in ultra
proshares? I bought 25 shares of DIG and 30 shares of UYM for my ROTH today...
both pay decent dividends... any comments? -

A: Hey Arthur, with regards to this, the hedge funds still dumping and mutual funds do you
think that the fear pyschology of not getting IN is going to set in the market? The
"scarcity of resources" idea of fear that people get is what I mean.
Ideas please.
Thanks,

Help! I have traded recklessly and have lost most of my money. I want to be
conservative but also own stock. I am thinking of borrowing against my HELOC
(15k) and going for a conservative strategy and I wanted some input from others
on how well this would work.
I'd be borrowing at a rate of 5.65%. I would invest in companies that pay
dividends, scaling in until I reach 100 shares. When I get 100 shares I'll
write a covered call at or slightly above the money. I'll be paid to wait and
collect the divy and option money. Is this a safe strategy or should I scrap it
and leave everything in cash? -
