Does anyone remember which program it was where Jim presented stocks linked to
wind power? I must have been asleep. I do remember a short blurb on Corning
Glass and their link to wind power, but I would like to research some of the
bigger players.

A: Lots of hours learning how to do it
Reading everything possible
ask alot of questions from the group on this board...like questions about how they got
started..
when this board first got started we shared our stories alot more...at the beginning of
each year we got alot of "newbies" and they would ask alot of questions which would be
helpful...
I have acouple accts..only take care of the trading one...investment one is long term
stocks..
Once you start it will take maybe two years before you feel very good all the time....i
did it gradually..
agreed with poster about brokers..useless
i think i already told you about ken heebner's fund..until you know what your doing it's
best to break up this money into
???funds...best of breed long term stocks..and your trading acct.
Your first step is to do alot of learning, reading and askin questions
Get Investor Business Daily..they have alot of learning tools...do not use their stock
picks unless you do your own homework
Good Luck

- Q:
America and all of the west have become simply too soft to ever consider
something like invading a country to take their oil. I don't see why we don't
do it...we spend more than almost all of the world combined on our military and
really get little for it...all we get is a fat tax bill and now a fat energy
bill...bullshit.
What is wrong with conquest? How come the strong don't prosper and the weak
perish anymore...we are the strongest country and we should use our
strength...instead we bow at the throne of the king of Saudi Arabia to beg for
oil, a nation we could conquer in about three days. America, Europeans, and the
West have simply become soft. We are the weak ones now, not because we do not
have the power, but because we choose not to use it and choose to be weak.
It is absolutely pathetic and obviously does not bode well for the future of our
civilization.
And you know who I blame...the liberals...they have pussified the nation. Their
liberal, white, multi-cultural guilt have destroyed Europe, crippled America,
and is causing Western Civilization to commit suicide. We no longer teach our
children about the greatness of Europeans and Americans...how they controlled
the entire world, spread their culture and values, and achieved levels of
wealth, science, technology, and greatness unseen before in the world. This is
not to diminish the accomplishments, contributions, and achievements of other
cultures, but let's give credit where credit is due. Instead, we teach our kids
that America was mean to the Indians, mean to Africans, mean to Mexicans, and
were basically scumbags in building the greatest nation this earth has ever been
home to. So basically, these liberals can sit comfortably in the society,
wealth and culture of freedom built on by the blood, sweat, toil and tear of the
exact people they now so readily denigrate and denounce...PATHETIC!
Unless this liberal mindset described above is eliminated, or at least
marginalized, from society, instead of being prominent, if not dominant (look at
the academia and media that indoctrinate our children and future generations
with this garbage), we will fade into the night, knowing that we brought upon
our own demise. -

Makes me sick that our countries leader goes and begs at the feet of a king for
anything!
I say we just go take it..it being their oil!
You can either get busy getting conquered or be the conqueror....You choose how
much or how many human lives, our nations oil supply and way of life as we know
it, is worth? Don't say NONE....because that's an unrealistic answer.
It's kinda of like asking yourself >> Would you shoot one innocent child in the
head, to cure/eradicate cancer for everyone forever?

Saudis reject Bush's plea to increase oil output!
By Charles Levinson, USA TODAY
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah told President Bush on
Friday that he is powerless to bring down rising gas prices, dashing hopes that
the oil-rich kingdom would boost supply to meet skyrocketing global demand.
It is the second time this year that Saudi Arabia has rebuffed Bush's appeals
for more oil.
Bush stopped in Riyadh for an overnight stay at the monarch's horse farm, the
second leg of a three-country Mideast tour.
But the planned tribute to 75 years of U.S-Saudi diplomatic ties was
overshadowed by gas prices that are approaching $4 a gallon and helping to drive
the U.S. economy toward a recession.
On Friday, oil prices topped $127 a barrel, a record high.

A: Got cut off but basically my point is, learn to go both ways and worry about a few names
rather than the overall market as a whole. When you learn to follow a few names in several
sectors, the rest comes to you. Do the homework and you will be amazed at how easily
everything comes together. I honestly could care less if the market has bottomed or not.

Observation: Bernanke says "uhh" and "umm" way too often. (So does Obama.) Isn't
this a sign of low intelligence, at least too low for a leader in such a

A: Madeleine and all stockpickrs~I want to apologize for my misreading of Daniel Pipes
article. I have discussed this with my husband and he thinks that I mis-read the article.
Although the article does say that the apostate must be executed (under this law), he
does not think this meant literally. He thought that when someone stands apostate, it
would be difficult for any muslim to accept him. He would be shunned. They would not
want to break bread with him or meet with him.
In ancient Rome, when an Emperor was notoriously bad, they would invoke a principle called
Memoriae Damnatio, the memory be damned!, and the old bad emperor would be replaced with a
new one. They would try to eliminate his image from anywhere, coins, statues, etc. They
did this with some guy, but I truthfully forgot who. But some of these practices still
live on today in a diluted form, like in our Federal buildings where we put a picture of
the incumbent president and take down the picture of the former president.
Many ancient traditions continue in our society today.
Regardless of whether Pipes article means Obama could be executed by the people who find
him apostate or whether he would be shunned by them, it is important to understand that he
would not be liked. Because I think the impression that voters are forming is that
because he had this in his background, he would be BETTER able to communicate with them,
wherein, he might actually be WORSE able to communicate with them.
Regardless, it seems worth mentioning. I am sorry that I misunderstood the reading and
took it to its most literal meaning. Thanks for being an understanding stockpickr list.
