(4/23/07) Nike actually has a winning position after it split 2 - 1. But the Monkey cut the number of stocks down to 25 by removing Nike (NKE), since the Stockpickr site does not adjust positions for stocks splits. Because of this, the portfolio is acutually doing better than it shows. He gets an extra bannana for the wisdom of this move and Stockpickr gets rotten papayas.Portfolio picks consist of 26 stocks selected from a list of the largest 1500 stocks at random-- by a monkey. That's right, a bona fide member of the primate family. One stock for each letter of the alphabet. For each random pick the monkey got a peanut. For each stock that goes up for the day, the monkey will get a banana. Will the monkey starve or grow fat and happy? Let's see how our monkey does against the brightest and the best.
